Season Notes
The growing season during Spring was consistently warm & dry, which gave us stable weather during flowering and fruit set. This continued into the ripening period during Summer with minimal rainfall, resulting in concentrated flavours & balanced acidities. We are seeing lovely brightness and aromatics in the wines.
Alc/vol
13.5%
harvested
Hand harvested between the 5th February and 4th March 2025.
Winemaking
The fruit was hand harvested and destemmed into open fermenters. Thoughtful ferment handling was used to encourage balanced flavour, acidity and tannin structure. The wine was blended post oak maturation in October, for bottling in January 2026.
Oak:
Matured in French oak Puncheons and Barriques for 8 months. 15% new oak.
Cellaring
Will drink well now and will continue to develop further complexity over the next 5-10 years.
Colour
Lively ruby red hue.
Nose:
An expressive and perfumed nose, with aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and pomegranate. Delicate floral notes and a hint of background charcuterie provide additional layers of intrigue.
Palate:
Silky and finely structured, showcasing vibrant red berry fruits, cranberry and subtle spice. Fresh acidity and fine tannins carry the wine through to a long, and refined finish.
Food match:
Pan seared duck breast, charred radicchio, blackberry glaze.
