Season Notes
The growing season during Spring was consistently warm & dry, which gave us stable weather during flowering and fruit set. This continued into the ripening period during Summer with minimal rainfall, resulting in concentrated flavours & balanced acidities. We are seeing lovely brightness and aromatics in the wines.

Harvest Date
Handpicked between the 5th and 27th of February 2025.
Winemaking
The fruit was handpicked and cooled overnight before whole bunch pressing the following morning. The juice was settled briefly before filling off to oak for ferment. Upon the ferment being completed, the wines were sulphured and left on lees for maturation. The wine was blended in October, before bottling in November 2025.
Oak
Fermentation and maturation in 100% French oak Puncheons, Demi Muid & Barriques for 8 months. 12% new oak.
Cellaring
Will drink well now and will continue to develop further complexity over the next 5-10 years.
Colour
Pale straw colour, indicative of its freshness and youth.
Nose
The wine opens with a light flint note that adds tension and complexity without overpowering. This is supported by a soft lift of cumquat blossom, and a hint of petrichor, recalling the smell of fresh rain.
Palate
Initial flavours reminiscent of just-ripe white peach, nashi pear and a subtle citrus influence. A fine, chalky element runs along the mid-palate, providing both grip and shape. Bright acidity and understated oak frame the wine’s freshness, drive and overall elegance.
Food match
Kingfish crudo with finger lime & olive oil dressing.

Philip Rich
Fermented and matured in 100% French oak puncheons, demi-muids and barriques (12% new). A bright green gold. Aromas of pear, orange zest, lemon curd, and grilled nuts. Just as good on the intense, beautifully balanced, and persistent palate. A lovely and well-priced effort that will continue to improve in the bottle over the next three to four years, at least.
