The warmth of the 2016 vintage in the Yarra Valley produced perfect conditions for our later ripening varieties with harvest around 3 weeks earlier than 2015. The vines achieved ideal ripeness and flavor balance. Yield was 7 tonnes per hectare.
A long north-west facing block with clay loam soils. The block has long produced grapes with subtle flavours and firm structure which is well suited to this clone of Merlot and the preferred style for TarraWarra Estate.
