The Wines

TarraWarra Estate, one of Australia’s great wine estates, is a producer of exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that express the unique terroir of the TarraWarra vineyard. Situated on 400 hectares of prime Yarra Valley land, TarraWarra’s wines are meticulously grown, hand picked, vinified and aged on the estate.

Winemaker, Clare Halloran makes three tiers of TarraWarra wines every year.

The Estate wines are single varietals blended from blocks across the estate, which are ready to be enjoyed on release.

The wines in the Single Block range are made as an individual and pure expression of the specific TarraWarra site where they are grown.

The flagship wines, the two Reserve wines, are made from the classic Burgundy varietals, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which are particularly well suited and have a long history in the Yarra Valley. The Reserve wines are made from the best sites and parcels of fruit from the vineyard and will reward cellaring.

TarraWarra also occasionally releases two MDB wines named for founding father and son, Marc and Daniel Besen. The MDB Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are only produced in exceptional years and in extremely limited quantities.
