2019 Pinot Noir Rosé

We are extremely happy with the elegance in the 2019, the wine shows classic lifted strawberry Pinot Noir aromas. It is a dry, yet succulent wine with fresh acidity and fine texture. A lovely aperitif enjoyed on its own or with lighter foods such as antipasto, pâté or fresh summer seafood.

Site selection: This block is a heritage site on TarraWarra Estate and it has one of the oldest plantings in the Yarra Valley. It is a shady site with sandy loam soils, which develops subtle fruit flavour and good acidity in the grapes.

Vintage notes: 2019 started off quite hot, however our early concerns regarding heat and humidity were allayed by cooler conditions through mid -January and February. This slowed down ripening and allowed excellent flavour development. A heat wave in late February kicked everything along, with all the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay harvested within 10 days.
