2009 Estate Chardonnay

It displays ripe stone fruits with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and spice aromas. The fruit on the nose expands on the palate with a lovely weight, full mouth-feel and texture. It has a tight minerality and subtle oak influence.

Site selection: Estate fruit was sourced from 10-26 year old vines on various blocks.

Vintage notes: Due to severe weather conditions in 2009 (heat wave & bushfire), some fruit had to be sourced from another vineyard. The fruit from the cool climate region of Tumbarumba NSW complemented our style.

The 2009 season was cool through the early part of the season, followed by extreme heat early in February during veraison.  The February bushfires were followed by a period of mild weather through to harvest in March.

There is a component of Tumbarumba fruit in this wine. This region is one of Australia's coolest and is located at high altitude.

Drinking beautifully: a crowd favourite at 2015 Chardonnay Now.

Maximum order of 6 bottles.
